Let’s Play With A Pom- Pom Rocket

This activity is a great idea to engage your kiddo for a few hours. This can also be a source of pleasure at a Christmas party or a birthday party for your kiddo. Moreover, this will also help in developing motor and creativity skills.

Requisites: An empty medium sized toilet roll, a sheet of colored craft paper, tissue paper, cardboard, string about 50 cm long, a small bead, glue, scissors, stapler, colored ribbons, a packet of colorful mini pompoms.

Steps:

1. To make the pom-pom rocket, trace the bottom of a toilet roll onto a cardboard and cut out a circle so that it will sit on the base of the pom-pom.

2. Take the string 50 cm long and attach the bead at 30 cm of the string. Then pass the other end to the cardboard circle.

3. Take tissue paper and thread the non bead area, and the other end of the string through the center of the tissue paper.

4. Use glue to stick the tissue paper to the cardboard circle and then with the help of the edges of tissue paper attach it to the base of the empty toilet roll.

5. Leave it to dry for a few minutes. Later, fill the toilet roll with the colorful pompoms.

6. Now decorate your pom-pom rocket with colorful craft paper using glue. You can also use colorful ribbons to decorate the body by wrapping them around it.

6. Now to make the rocket shape we need to attach a cone at the top. Cut a circle from the cardboard of about 10 cm in diameter. Make a slit from the edge to the center and make a cone from it. Staple it so that it remains intact. Decorate it as well.

7. Now with the help of the string attach the cone to the toilet roll.

8. Make two holes at the top edge of the toilet roll and thread the string through these holes and tie it in a way that it can make a triangle of the string.

9. Then, thread the triangle of string through the top of the cone shape and push the cone into its place so that it will take a shape of the rocket.

10. Get ready to shower the pompoms by just pulling the string. You can also use glitter in place of pompoms to make a party more joyful.

Let your kiddo choose the materials for the rocket. Make him feel as if he is the center of attraction while he showers the pompoms, this will also boost his confidence level.
