At this stage, you must have already noticed that your child loves tapping his foot to music! Your toddler loves rhythm and beats and hence music is a sure shot way of getting his attention. This game of Sing-a-Word will make your kid learn different words easily using the power of music!

Requisites: A nursery rhyme your child is familiar with, A dash of creativity

Steps:

1. To start with, use the music of a nursery rhyme your toddler is already familiar with.

2. Create simple lyrics which include words you want to teach your darling.

3. Now sing the lyrics in the tune of the nursery rhyme you have chosen.

4. You can keep repeating such songs to your super star in your car, at home or on his way to day care.

5. Involve other people your child comes in contact with in singing these songs to your toddler, making it even more varied and interesting to him.

6. The words can be letters, numbers, names of fruits and vegetables and many such more renditions can be adapted as per your child’s learning stage.

This way you can create a wonderful experience for your child to learn from.
