Ajwain Matri

A deep fried crunchy snack, Ajwain Matri is made using maida. This carbohydrate rich snack can be stored in air tight container and is a perfect evening snack for your little one. Flavour the maida with onion and ajwain and the snack turns out to be awesome.

    Ingredients to make Ajwain Matri:

    1 cup maida, 1 tsp ghee, ¼ tsp ajwain, ½ onion, 3-4 sprigs of coriander leaves, salt as required, oil for deep frying, water as required for kneading

    Steps to make Ajwain Matri:

    1. In a bowl, add maida and ghee. Give a good mix.

    2. Add the remaining ingredients except water.

    3. Add water little by little and knead the maida mixture into a firm dough.

    4. In a kadai, pour oil for frying. Take a small portion from the dough and roll into the size of a poori. Using fork , prick the rolled matri.

    5. Fry one by one into hot oil on both sides till they turn crisp.

    Tasty Ajwain Matri is ready for your child to eat and enjoy. Prepare the remaining matris in the same way and store them in an airtight container.
