    Ingredients to make Idli Surprise:

    Idli Batter - 3 cups, mixed chopped vegetables (carrots, beans, boiled potato, boiled peas) - 2 cups, for the seasoning: oil -2 tsp, cumin seeds - 1 tsp, salt to taste

    Steps to make Idli Surprise:

    1. Heat oil and add cumin seeds. When it splutters, add all the vegetables, and salt as needed, and cook on medium flame for a few minutes, stirring frequently, until veggies are three-fourths cooked.

    2. After the mixture cools, mix it with the idli batter. Take ladlefuls of batter and pour in greased idli molds.

    3. Steam for 15-18 minutes. Serve with chutney.
