Jaggery Mixed Flour Roti

An easy to prepare tasty jaggery mixed flour roti is a wholesome food that's packed with iron, carbohydrates, and protein. It can be served as lunch or snacks.

    Ingredients to make Jaggery Mixed Flour Roti:

    4 tbsp jaggery powder, 2 tbsp besan, 1 cup wheat flour, ½ cup maida, 2-3 tbsp sesame seeds, ghee

    Steps to make Jaggery Mixed Flour Roti:

    1. Add 1 tbsp ghee in a pan and roast besan on low medium flame in it till it turns aromatic.

    2. Mix jaggery powder and roasted besan. Keep aside.

    3. Now knead a dough using wheat flour, maida, 2 tbsp ghee and water. Make sure the dough turns out to be soft.

    4. Pinch dough and roll and flatten it using rolling pin.

    5. Place 1 tbsp of jaggery besan mixture in centre and bring all the edges together. Faltten it again gently to make roti.

    6. Heat griddle and place the flattened roti on it. Cook it from both sides using ghee.

    Serve hot with ghee. You can avoid maida to keep it more healthy.
