A fluffy and delicious cake with yummy jam in the center makes this cake your all time favorite for sure!

Ingredients to make Jam Cake:

1½ cup all purpose flour, 3 tsp baking powder, a pinch of salt, 2 small eggs, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 175 gm sugar, melted butter, ½ cup milk, 50 gm jam

Steps to make Jam Cake:

1. Preheat oven at 190 degrees and sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl.

2. Now add butter and rub it slightly using your hand and fingers.

3. Add in sugar and gently add beaten eggs to this mixture.

4. This will form a smooth dough.

5. Now shape the dough into a ball and cut it into half. Roll out a circle from one half of about 1½ cm thick.

6. Into the greased baking tray, place one half and prick it all over.

7. Spread warm jam on it and leave a narrow margin around the edges.

8. Cover the other half of the dough with this and pinch the layers together.

9. Brush the top with some milk and sprinkle some sugar.

10. Bake it for 30-35 minutes till it turns golden brown.

Take out from the oven and let it cool before you eat it off.
