All time favourite Jam Tarts are a fun treat for your child. With simple ingredients and a quick to make process, these tarts are made using maida, which is a good source of carbohydrates, butter, which has fats and flavoured jam.

¾ cup maida, 5 tbsp buter, a pinch of salt, water as required, any flavour jam(mixed fruit is used here)
1. In a mixing bowl, sieve the maida and salt together.
2. Put the butter in the flour and mix well.
3. Add water little by little and make a stiff dough.
4. Keep the dough in the refrigerator for about 15 mins.
5. Divide the dough into small balls and roll out each ball (size of a poori)
6. Using a tart case, press the rolled dough gently around its sides and trim the edges.
7. In the same way make, the other tarts.
8. Prick the tarts using fork.
9. Preheat the oven at 200 degrees.
10. Arrange the tarts on a baking tray and fill the tarts with mixed fruit jam.
Bake for 15 minutes. Yummy Jam Tarts are ready to be relished by your child. Devour!
