Prepare these healthy and easy to make Javarisi Vadam or Sago Papad. It is rich in healthy fats and fiber and can be served as snacks or a side dish with main course.

    Ingredients to make Javarisi Vadam:

    1 cup sago, 4 cups water, 1 tsp cumin seeds, salt as needed, 1 tbsp lemon juice

    Steps to make Javarisi Vadam:

    1. Soak sago in enough water for 3-4 hours or till it gets meshed up easily. After soaking drain off the water.

    2. Heat 4 cups of water in a deep pan; add 1 tsp salt and sago.Let it boil for 15-20 minutes while stirring in between.

    3. Cook till sago turns translucent. Turn off the flame and add more salt if required, cumin seeds, a pinch of hing and lemon juice.

    4. Let it cool till it gets little thick flowing consistency.

    5. Spread a big size greased plastic sheet and pour a tbsp of prepared sago mixture making a small rounds like papad.

    6. Let the vadam dry in sun for 2-3 days. Now the Javarisi Vadam are ready to store.

    7. Heat oil in a kadai and fry Javarisi Vadam before serving.

    Serve it with milk as a snack or give it like a side dish with sambhar and rice.
