Mango Vanilla Jam

Mangoes are rich in vital vitamins and minerals like vitamin A, C, calcium, iron, and potassium. You can prepare a delicious Mango Vanilla Jam by adding flavouring ingredients like lemon juice, vanilla jam, and sugar. Crystal Pectin is also used in this recipe and will give a jelly-like consistency due to its gelling property.

    Ingredients to make Mango Vanilla Jam:

    4 mangoes, 5 tbsp powdered crystal pectin, 5 cups granulated sugar, ¼ cup lemon juice, 1 vanilla bean

    Steps to make Mango Vanilla Jam:

    1. Peel, pit and coarsely chop the mangoes.

    2. Scrape the vanilla bean and keep the seeds aside.

    3. In a mixing bowl, add mangoes, sugar , vanilla seeds and lemon juice. Give a good mix. Let this mixture be set aside for about 10 minutes. Stir in between.

    4. Take a small pan and add half cup water and crystal pectin. Bring to a boil on high heat and cook for a min, continuously stirring the mixture.

    5. Add the mango mixture to the pectin mixture and stir for 3 mins till the sugar is well dissolved.

    Yummy Mango Vanilla Jam is ready. Store in airtight containers.
