Semolina Cake

Make this super easy semolina cake to enjoy it in breakfast or snacks. Different from regular sweet cake, this cake is much easier to make and tastes super good. It is loaded with magnesium.

    Ingredients to make Semolina Cake:

    1 cup rava (semolina), 1⁄2 cup curd, 1⁄2 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp chana dal, 1 string curry leaves, a pinch of hing, 2-3 chopped cashews, salt, oil or ghee, 1⁄2 lemon juice

    Steps to make Semolina Cake:

    1. In a bowl, mix rava, curd. Mix well.

    2. Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan, add mustard seeds. When seeds starts crackling, add chana dal, hing, curry leaves and cashews. Stir fry them.

    3. Add this tadka to a bowl of rava and curd. Mix well.

    4. Add baking soda and lemon juice. Mix well.

    5. Pour the batter in a greased pan and microwave it for 4-5 minutes. If baking then bake it at 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

    Serve hot with tomato ketchup. You can add veggies in the batter to make it more healthy and tasty.
