Tangy Tomato Paratha

This paratha is flavored with a mixture of spices and puree of tangy tomatoes. You can serve this yummy parantha to your kid in breakfast or lunch and they will love this one for sure.

    Ingredients to make Tangy Tomato Paratha:

    Puree of 5 tomatoes, 1 finely chopped onion, 3 green chiles, 1/4 tsp kasoori methi, ½ tsp mustard seeds, 1/4 tsp chili powder, half tsp sugar, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, salt to taste, chopped coriander, 3/4 cup whole wheat flour, 2 tbsp maida, little ghee or oil for cooking

    Steps to make Tangy Tomato Paratha:

    1. Take a pan and put some oil in it. Once the oil heats up add onions to it and cook them till they turn golden brown.

    2. Now add tomato puree, turmeric powder, salt and mix it well. Let it cook for another 5 minutes. Keep stirring continuously.

    3. Add green chillies, kasuri methi powder, mustard seeds, red chilli powder and sugar. Mix it up well.

    4. Cook this mixture for 2-3 minutes on low flame and add some sugar as well.

    5. Finally, add coriander leaves to this mixture and mix well.

    6. Take this mixture off the flame and let it cool down completely.

    7. Now take a bowl and add wheat flour, maida and tomato mixture. Knead it into a soft dough.

    8. Divide the dough into two equal portions and roll it into a thin circle.

    9. Heat the tava and cook this parantha by adding oil as per your need.

    10. Cook each side till it becomes golden brown.

    Serve this parantha hot with a chutney, pickle, or dahi.
