Veg Paratha

Veg Paratha stuffed with potatoes and onion is a regular food at home but adding peas and tomatoes will give a new and different flavour to it. Serve these masala and tangy veg parathas in breakfast or pack in lunchbox.

    Ingredients to make Veg Paratha:

    2 cup wheat flour, 1 chopped onion, 1 chopped tomato, 2-3 boiled potatoes, ½ cup peas, coriander leaves, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp red chillipowder, 1 tsp garam masala, salt as needed, ghee for frying

    Steps to make Veg Paratha:

    1. Knead a smooth dough using flour, salt and water. Cover and keep aside.

    2. Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds. Add chopped onions and saute for a minute.

    3. Add tomatoes, coriander powder, chilli powder, garam masala, peas. Cook for 2-3 minutes or till peas turns soft.

    4. Add salt and mashed botatoes. Mix well. Add coriander leaves.

    5. Pinch medium sized ball from the dough, flatten it using rolling pin.

    6. Place the stuffing in betweena nd seal it from all sides. Flatten it again gently.

    7. Heat tawa and put rolled paratha on to it. Cook from both sides using ghee.

    Serve Veg Paratha with green chutney or curd.
