Fada Lapsi

Fada Lapsi is a Gujarati sweet dessert, which tastes amazing with the combination of ground wheat (fada), cardamom, milk, and sugar. Your little one will just enjoy the taste and flavour of this sweet dish. Broken wheat is a rich source of vitamin B1, B2, and fiber.

    Ingredients to make Fada Lapsi:

    ½ cup ground wheat (fada/daliya), 2 tbsp. sugar, 1 tbsp. ghee, ½ tsp. cardamom (elaichi) powdered, 1 tbsp. mixed dry fruits for garnishing and 1 cup milk, ½ cup water Steps to make Fada Lapsi:

    1. Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed pan and roast the dry fruits and remove it in a cup and keep it aside.

    2. In the same pan roast ground wheat stirring constantly for 6 to 7 minutes on a low flame till its colour changes to golden brown.

    3. Add lukewarm water and milk mix well and cook on a high flame till the water starts boiling.

    4. Cook on a slow flame for 15 to 17 minutes stirring constantly or until the ground wheat has absorbed all the water and milk.

    5. Add sugar and cardamom powder, mix well and cook on a slow flame for 5 to 7 minutes or till the ghee separate while stirring continuously.

    6. Garnish with ghee roasted dry fruits slivers

    Serve hot to your little one today and enjoy the way she lip-smacks them.
