Spinach Roti

Simple, healthy recipe of palak roti, also known as Spinach Roti, which is made using iron-rich spinach is ideal for your kiddo. Spinach is truly a wonderful leafy green that packs a lot of nutrients. It is an excellent source of vitamin K, vitamin A (in the form of carotenoids), manganese, folate, magnesium, iron, copper, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, vitamin E, calcium, potassium and vitamin C. It is a very good source of dietary fibre, phosphorus, vitamin B1, zinc, protein and choline.

    Ingredients to make Spinach Roti :

    1 cup whole meal flour, 1 cup boiled and blanched spinach, pinch of salt, 2 tbsp oil, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

    Steps to make Spinach Roti:

    1. Combine the flour, the blanched palak, salt and ginger garlic paste by adding little water and knead into a pliable dough.

    2. Let the dough rest for 15 minutes.

    3. Make small balls out of the dough and roll them out into nice circular shapes.

    4. Heat a frying fan and fry them with very little oil.

    Serve it warm to your kiddo with butter and curd. Put them in aluminum foil so that it stays fresh.
