The Belgaum Airport serves Belgaum, Karnataka. It is located 10 km east of Belagavi city. Spread across 3,600 square meters, this domestic airport also has an Indian Air Force station nearby. The airport authorities inaugurated the new terminal building on 14 September 2017.
The Airports Authority of India recently decided to expand this airport by building a new passenger terminal of 20,000 square meters. This new extension can accommodate an additional 1,400 passengers and accommodate larger aircraft like Boeing 737 and Airbus A320.

The Hubli Airport is a domestic airport located 8 km from Hubballi and 20 km from Dharwad. The Public Works Department of Karnataka constructed this airport. It caters to both these twin cities and is self-reliant in terms of electricity generation.
In January 2013, it was decided that the airport needed to be expanded for further development. One of the major expansions was the extension of the runway by 2,600 meters. With this expansion, larger aircraft like the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 could be operated. Also, the Airport Authority of India plans to build a new passenger terminal based on future demands.
