The National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC) program was initiated by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). This initiative aims to modernise toll collection across national highways in India through electronic means, enhancing efficiency and reducing traffic congestion. Here, we will check out IndusInd Bank’s user-friendly FASTag services, which simplify toll payments.
FASTag employs radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology to enable automatic toll payments. Once stuck to the vehicle's windshield, the IndusInd FASTag is scanned by the toll plaza FASTag scanner. It automatically deducts the toll amount from the linked prepaid account.
An IndusInd FASTag facilitates quick and hassle-free passage through toll plazas.
A significant benefit of using IndusInd Bank's FASTag is the convenience of online recharges. Gone are the days of queuing at toll plazas; with IndusInd FASTag, you can recharge your FASTag digitally anytime. This feature saves you precious time and fuel, enhancing your travel experience.
FASTag also reduces congestion at toll plazas, contributing to time and fuel efficiency. The usage of this system also supports a greener environment by reducing air pollution caused by idling vehicles at toll plazas.
