FASTag was introduced by the Indian government as part of the National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC) program. It became mandatory for all vehicles across India to have FASTag for electronic toll payments starting from January 2021.
Today, FASTag services are now provided by various nationalised and private banks. Among these banks is Punjab & Sind Bank (PSB). PSB FASTag facilities to motorists to contribute to the widespread adoption of electronic toll payments. This collective effort aims to enhance the efficiency and convenience of road travel for commuters nationwide.
FASTag employs Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to enable automatic toll payments. As you approach a toll plaza, this RFID technology allows for the information stored within the tag to be read by tag readers installed at the plaza. The applicable toll fee is then automatically deducted from your linked FASTag account or wallet.
Here are the benefits of using PSB FASTag:

Swift passage through toll plazas.
Reduced waiting times at plazas.
