What is the BH Series Number Plate in Meghalaya?

The Bharat series number plate starts with the vehicle registration year (YY), followed by BH, which is indicative of the Bharat series, a 4-digit unique number (####), and two random alphabets (XX). The format thus is “YYBH####XX.” For instance, 23BH7382GH indicates that the vehicle was registered in 2023, BH indicates that it’s the Bharat series number, 7382 is a unique code assigned to the vehicle, while GH is any random alphabet that has been assigned to your vehicle.

• Private sector employees with offices in more than four states or UTs must submit Form 60 and provide their employment ID with a work certificate.

• The State Authorities verify the eligibility of the vehicle owner.

• The series type "BH" is selected during application.

• Required documents, such as the Working Certificate (Form 60) or a copy of the official ID card, are submitted.

• The Regional Transport Office (RTO) approves the BH series.

• Pay the necessary fee or motor vehicle tax online.
