Step 1: Visit the Transport Department’s website (Parivahan portal).
Step 2: Go to the “DL Services section by selecting the “Online Services” option.
Step 3: Choose your state name (Uttar Pradesh) on the following page.
Step 4: Select the option “Apply for Learner’s Licence”.
Step 5: Input your details, upload the documents, pay the applicable fees and book the test slot.

An RTO inspector will supervise the test. If the official is satisfied with your driving skills, you will receive the Driving Licence via post after completing the biometric-recording process.

Step 1: Obtain the LL application from the RTO or download it from the Lucknow RTO website.
Step 2: Fill out the form with the required information, keep all the documents handy and submit them to the RTO.
Step 3: Pay the Learner’s Licence fee and schedule an appointment for the theory test.
Step 4: Take up the test and receive your LL after the test clearance.
Step 5: Schedule a slot for the DL test (driving test) after a month from the date you received the LL.

Step 1: Visit the Transport Ministry’s official website (Privahan)
Step 2: Go to the “Online Services” section and opt for “DL Services”.
Step 3: Choose your state name (Uttar Pradesh) and select the “Application Status” option.
Step 4: Provide the details like your application number and date of birth.
Step 5: Input the captcha code and hit the “Submit” button to view the Driving Licence application status.

A four-wheeler DL applicant must drive the vehicle in a “U” and “T” pattern tracks without stalling the vehicle.

Here are the eligibility criteria to get a DL in Lucknow.
The DL applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
