You can submit an application for DL in Pune either online or offline. In this section, we discuss the process involved in both methods.
You can refer to the following steps to submit an application online for a Driving Licence in Pune.
Step 1: Visit the Parivahan website to access online RTO services.
Step 2: Select “DL Related Services” by navigating to the “Online Services” menu.
Step 3: Select the state name (Maharashtra) on the next page and click on “Apply for Learner’s Licence” (LL).
Step 4: Fill out the online form, upload the documents and pay the application fees to book a test slot.
Step 5: Appear for the LL test on the designated date and receive the Learner’s Licence.
Step 6: Now, visit the Parivahan website and select the “Apply for DL” option from the DL services menu.
Step 7: Select the option “Holding LL” and fill out the online application for a Driving Licence and upload the relevant documents.
Step 8: Next, select the “Appointments” option and book a slot for the driving test after 30 days of the issuance of LL.
Step 9: Pay the applicable fees and print/download the acknowledgement receipt for future reference.
Visit the RTO on the designated date to undertake the driving test. An official will monitor the test. Once you clear the test, the RTO will capture your biometrics data. You will receive the DL at your residential address via post.
Here are the steps to apply for DL offline in Pune.
Step 1: Visit the RTO and obtain the LL application form (Form 2). Alternatively, you can download it through the Parivahan website.
Step 2: Fill out the form and compile all the required documents.
Step 3: Submit the application form and documents to the RTO, pay the fees, collect the acknowledgement receipt and select a slot for the Learner’s Licence test.
Step 4: Appear for the test and collect the LL after test clearance.
Step 5: Next, you can pick a slot for the driving test after 30 days.
Step 6: Pay the DL and test fee and collect the acknowledgement receipt.
Step 7: Appear for the driving test on the designated date at the RTO.
After you clear the driving test, the RTO will capture your biometrics data and issue the Driving Licence. The DL will be dispatched to your address via post.

The following points explain the eligibility criteria for obtaining a permanent Driving Licence in Pune.
The applicant should be 18 years of age.
