The Driving Licence (DL) is a mandatory document to drive/ride a motor vehicle in India. It is valid for only a certain number of years from the date of issuance. Post that, you must apply for the renewal, as driving a vehicle with an expired DL is an offence.

You can follow the steps mentioned below for the online renewal of your Driving Licence in Pune.
Step 1: Log on to the Parivahan website: https://parivahan.gov.in/parivahan/
Step 2: Click on “Driving Licence Services” from the Online Services menu.
Step 3: Select the state of residence (Maharashtra).
Step 4: Select “Apply for Driving Licence Renewal” on the next page.
Step 5: Click “Continue” and enter the DL number, your date of birth and the captcha code.
Step 6: Click “Get DL Details”, verify the details and acknowledge the same by clicking on the “Yes” button.
Step 7: Select the “Submit Request” option and choose the state (Maharashtra).
Step 8: Select your RTO. If you select a different RTO than the previous one, you must apply for an address change with Rs. 200 additional fees.
Step 9: Choose the DL Renewal option and fill in all the required details in the application form. Also, upload the relevant documents.
Step 10: Pay the fees online and download the acknowledgement receipt.
Once the documents are verified, the RTO will issue the renewed Driving Licence.

Mentioned below are the steps for the offline renewal of DL in Pune.
Step 1: Download the DL Renewal application form (Form 9) from the RTO Pune website.
Step 2: Duly fill out the application form and gather all the required documents.
Step 3: Vist the RTO office and submit the application form and the documents.
Step 4: Pay the applicable fees at the cash counter.
The RTO official will verify the application form and documents, and issue the renewed DL. You will receive the renewed licence via mail.

Step 1: Visit the Parivahan online portal.
Step 2: Choose “Driving Licence Services” from the Online Services section.

Step 4: Click on “LL/DL Services Slot Booking” from the Slot Booking drop-down menu.
Step 5: Enter your application number, date of birth, and verification code and hit the “Submit” button to book a slot.
