Ayushman Bharat Health Account (formerly the Ayushman Bharat Health ID) is a convenient way to maintain records of all your past and present medical treatments. The ABHA card, introduced in 2021, is a digital identity for Indian citizens with fourteen-digit identification numbers. The health ID can be generated with your registered mobile number, Aadhaar Card or driving licence. It will have your medical records from all the hospitals and clinics in which you've been treated and details on health insurance and claims.
The ABHA card is a part of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, an initiative launched by the National Health Authority (NHA), a division under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The Centre says that the Ayushman Bharat Health account will be a digital platform for you and your family to record baseline health data.
Most online ABHA registrations do not require the submission of any physical documentation. However, you may need to enter the following details to create an ABHA card –
Aadhar card
Mobile number
Driver's License
To receive all of this plan's benefits, you can start your ABHA ID creation by following the steps provided below.
To begin the procedure, go to the ABHA website
Press the 'Create ABHA Number’ icon. You can select 'Generate via Aadhaar' in the subsequent step.
You must use your virtual ID or provide your AADHAR number. Locate the 'I Agree' option by navigating down the page. Click 'Submit' after completing the Captcha that displays.
At this point, type in the mobile number you usually use. Press "Submit." You will receive an OTP on the number you entered, and then click the 'Submit' button.
All of the information you entered with your AADHAR details will be shown. You can proofread everything. Then, press the 'Submit' button. You'll also be given the option of creating an ABHA address, which is comparable to your email address.
Once you have completed all of the above procedures, you can download your ABHA card.
