It was initially launched only to cater to people who fall under the lowest income groups of the state i.e. Below Poverty Line (BPL). However, later iterations of MA Yojana extended benefits to lower-middle-class families as well. The treatments under this scheme are provided free of cost to the beneficiaries at empaneled hospitals in a cashless manner.

  • The eligibility criteria allow Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) from rural as well as urban regions to enrol themselves under the Mukhyamantri Amrutum Yojana.

  • The process of claim settlement and reimbursements under this scheme is quick, hassle-free and transparent. Beneficiaries can skip long waits or follow-ups to get their claims approved, as a cashless treatment route is provided to them.

How To Enrol In Mukhyamantri Amrutum Yojana:

This Yojana requires an eligible person to enrol under the scheme in order to avail medical benefits. The enrolment process of Mukhyamantri Amrutum Yojana is very simple. Here is how the process takes place:

Government authorities like Taluka and Civic Centers have a list of families. Only those families whose annual income is less than Rs. 4 Lakh are included in the list. The same list of families is also available on the MAGujarat website under an online BPL search page. This list is used by any vendor associated with the enrolment process for reference. The MA Vatsalya lists are dynamically generated based on the income certificate of families.

To enrol under the “MA” and “MA Vatsalya” schemes, the beneficiary family members should visit kiosks at Taluka or Civic Centers of their area. To reach the maximum number of eligible families, the State Government has also introduced mobile kiosks at local levels. 

The Taluk office, Civic centres, and Mobile kiosks are well-equipped with all the hardware that will be required in the process of enrolment. This hardware is used to capture biometric information like fingerprints, iris scans, etc. Photographs of the family will also be taken. The beneficiary may have to first fill the MA Amrutam card application form in Gujarati with correct details about the family. 

After the verification of documents, the beneficiary will be given an MA Amrutam card, a pamphlet about the scheme, and a list of empanelled hospitals. The enrolment process is complete after a family receives these documents.

The person eligible to enrol under this scheme should have the following set of documents while visiting the appointed Nodal agency:

  • Address proof like Ration card

  • Identification proof like Aadhaar card, Voter ID card, Driving License, or PAN card

  • Below Poverty Line (BPL) Certificate

  • Income Proof

Authorities Responsible for the Verification Process

The verification process for Mukhyamantri Amrutum Yojana involves multiple levels of authority to ensure thorough scrutiny and validation. At the district level, Deputy Mamalatdar plays a pivotal role in overseeing the verification procedures. Moving to the taluka level, various administrative officers stationed at the Taluka Health Office are responsible for verification tasks.

Additionally, appointed officers at A.T.V.T. Centres, Nagar Palika Chief Officers, and female health workers or multipurpose health workers (for mobile kiosks) contribute to the verification process. The Taluka Mamalatdar holds significance in this process. Municipal corporation authorities, comprising all permanent employees of government offices within the corporation's jurisdiction and appointed officers of civic centres, also play a crucial role.

Some mobile applications have details on how to apply for MA Yojana health card online or how to download MA Yojana health card. However, one needs to be physically present at the kiosk for the enrolment process. To avail the coverage, a beneficiary needs to submit a MA card document in Gujarati at the time of a medical emergency. Here are a few more details about the MA card.

When you reach the enrolment centre you will be given the MA vatsalya card application form pdf or a physical document to fill your details. After the enrolment process, you can revisit the kiosk to do the Mukhyamantri Amrutum Vatsalya card status check. How To Renew MA Yojana Smart Health Card?

The beneficiaries of this scheme can continue to get MAA Amrutam card benefits only if they renew their card after expiry. Note that Mukhyamantri Amrutum card validity is 3 years. Earlier Mukhyamantri Amrutum Vatsalya card validity was set to 1 year, however, this was changed to 3 years after the year 2015.

MAA card renewal is fairly simple and can be done by either calling the customer care number or by visiting the appointed kiosk. You will need the following things to complete the Mukhyamantri Amrutum Vatsalya renewal process:

How To Claim MA Yojana?

Unlike conventional health insurance, the claim process of Mukhyamantri Amrutum Yojana is very smooth and easy. One does not need to arrange any documents at the time of claim. The member of this plan simply needs to submit the QR card to a network hospital and the verification process will begin. After a quick verification, the treatment can start and the patient does not have to wait. Moreover, these claims are cashless in nature. This reduces the financial burden on the patients and family. 

After the treatment is complete, the empanelled hospital will send the details of hospital stay to the insurance company. The member of Mukhyamantri Amrutum Yojana does not have to look into this exchange of information. The claim will be then settled directly between the hospital and the insurance company.
