Rajasthan's Chiranjeevi health insurance yojana is set to merge with the Ayushman Bharat program, forming the Ayushman Bharat Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme.

What is the Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Yojana?

The Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Yojana was introduced by the Rajasthan government to provide cashless health insurance of up to Rs 25 lakhs to all eligible families living in the state, which may not be financially independent. More than 1,576 medical procedures and benefits are covered under this plan. Additionally, insured members are free to access any private or government hospital. The yearly premium of this plan is just Rs. 850, i.e. about Rs. 70.8 per month.

Enhanced Health Coverage under Chiranjeevi Yojana in Rajasthan

The Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme in Rajasthan provides free health coverage to all residents of the state. So far, over 12 lakh people have received free treatment under this scheme.

As per the 2023-24 budget, the annual health insurance coverage under Chiranjeevi Yojana has been further increased from Rs 10 lakhs to Rs 25 lakhs. There is also an additional accident cover of Rs 10 lakhs now.
