The latest baby products in the market are all chemical-based and you have become cautious to replace these store-bought products with natural products that are gentle for your little one and cost effective.

This nourishing oil is also affordable and readily available in every kitchen cupboard. Coconut oil is a super oil with anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal properties. Coconut oil is not only better for babies but also for the planet.
Now, why not take the advantage of this elixir? The coconut oil is extracted from the coconut fruit. There are different types of coconut oil available in the market. To name them, they are:
Pure coconut oil
Refined coconut oil
Virgin coconut oil
Organic coconut oil, and
Organic virgin coconut oil
Babies have sensitive skin; that can easily be affected by acne that can cause red marks or rashes on the skin that may be swollen or itchy.
Apply coconut oil on to the areas affected with acne twice daily until they are gone.
Babies need a gentle massage regularly for comforting their body parts.
Take equal amounts of extra virgin coconut-oil, olive oil, and a few drops of a natural essential oil like lavender, rosemary, and mix them well. Use this mixture for massage.
A baby's skin is probably soft enough that needs no lotions or creams. But if your baby’s skin gets dry at times, with visible dry patches in the creases of their neck, you ought to take extra care of it.

You can dip your clean finger in a spoon of coconut-oil and gently massage the tooth and gums of the babies.
Babies can get very messy, while eating and it is always a challenge to find the right baby wash that will help to clean babies’ skin but not remove moisture from the skin. Use coconut-oil as baby wash.
Mix equal amounts of coconut-oil and castor oil or coconut-oil with organic castile soap and water.
Gently massage all over the body to remove dirt and wash off with the regular bath water.
Babies may not fear with physical feats and may end up with bumps, bruises and cuts.
Use coconut-oil to effectively treat them. Mums can use coconut-oil on the burns.
When babies have cold, using coconut oil mixed with few drops of eucalyptus oil as a chest rub can help to decongest the chest and the nose area.
Many babies have issues with dry skin on their scalp. Coconut oil will not only nourish the scalp, it will also help eliminate cradle cap.
Just gently rub some coconut-oil on the scalp daily in the morning.
After 20 minutes use a soft bristles baby hair brush to brush off the flakes.
The temperature can affect the sensitive skin of the babies. The baby’s lips may turn dry and chap.

Diaper rash in babies is almost very normal. It is red rash that appears in the baby’s groin area. Coconut oil for babies’ diaper rash is the perfect and effective oil.

You can start using coconut oil on the hair of your baby. It is excellent hair oil providing all the nutrients the hair requires.
Sometimes babies may have hang nail while cutting their nails.
Apply coconut oil to prevent infection and promote healing.
Coconut oil can be used on insect bites of your baby. Some insect bites can turn red, swell and may cause infection.
Apply gently the coconut oil mixed with little turmeric on the insect bites.
When new-born babies flush out meconium, tar like viscous substance during babies’ first bowel movement, coconut-oil comes as rescuer to remove the stubborn substance.
You can apply coconut oil on babies’ bumps for easy removal.
When babies are four to five months old use coconut-oil on their gums. It will not only be soothing, help ease the teething pain but also improve oral and dental hygiene of babies.
