Your small wonder is now big enough to communicate and interact! Amazing isn’t it? Now is the perfect time to introduce to him the names of common everyday things such as family members, birds, or animals. A custom made picture book is a great idea to begin with!
Contents
Steps:
1. Collect pictures of different members of your family and curate them into a colourful and vibrant book.
2. Once done, you can sit beside your toddler every night and point to him different people as you enunciate their names; maintain a slow pace and a lively tone.
3. This activity will ensure active stimulation of visualisation and help develop his social and linguistic skills.
4. This book could turn into a great gift idea! Ask your family members to write him something on the scrapbook; this could be blessings, hopes, or aspirations for his future. Present him with this on his 16th or 18th birthday.
Note: Ensure that you alone handle the book, if in his hand, he is bound to tear it.
