Your little one is growing up and might begin to wonder the names of objects around him. With better language skills, he may stun you with a multitude of questions that may leave you speechless sometimes!

Now is the perfect time to harness his mental and language skills by introducing him to the names of various objects, body parts, and animals. Make sure you follow a steady and progressive pattern, starting with the simplest and graduating to more complex ones. Given below is a simple instructive that will help you begin the process.

Steps:

1. Place your baby on your lap or in front of you, where he loves to sit and play.

2. Touch each of his body part, starting with his facial features and name each organ. For example: - touch your baby’s nose and repeat “this is (baby’s name) nose.”

3. Try repeating the names, making sure he got the concept right and is able to differentiate between two organs.

4. Once you are sure that your little one has successfully learnt the names, graduate to different categories, such as vehicles, animals, fruits, etc.

This activity will help develop your baby’s ability to differentiate between objects and also improve his observation skills, listening skills, and memory power.
