Happy Poop Time- Your Baby's Digestion Patterns Are Changing

Team AckoFeb 8, 2024

Since your baby's appetite is changing, his digestion pattern too is changing. Depending on the quality and quantity of the food, his bowel movements subsequently depend on that. You need to see how often is your baby pooping and are his bowel movements normal?

Digestion patterns differ from one baby to another depending on their activity and food habits. If your baby drinks formula and eats solid food, he will pass stools at least once a day. Diarrhoea and constipation are two signs of a problematic digestive system.

    What you need to know

Your baby is most likely to experience diarrhoea if he's consuming unhealthy food, drinking too much fruit juice, or has food allergies. This leads to dryness of the mouth, high fever, and irritability. Keep your little one well hydrated and feed him lots of water

If your little one has missed routine bowel movements for more than a few days, he may be suffering from constipation. This may be due to dry solid food or dehydration. Keep him active, indulge in exercises, and massage his tummy for relief against constipation.

Constipation or diarrhoea, if you see drastic weight loss or blood in your baby’s stool, call your doctor immediately.
