At three, expect your baby to sit for short durations. “I am tired of watching the ceiling fan”- your baby might not spell it out, but she is crying to sit up and watch the world outside from a different perspective.

What you need to know
This is the age when you can try to make your baby sit, for very little time. Remember her spines and bones have still not developed enough to carry her weight. So longer duration may damage her immensely. While making her sit, hold her steadfast and never leave even for a moment.
Ensure that you support her back properly. Your baby is likely to enjoy her short sitting moments as she is able to see the things around her in a very different perspective. Be careful, and never force your baby to sit.
