Your Child Will Respond Appropriately To A Few Specific Words

At around 11 to 12 months of age your child will respond appropriately to a few specific words. Firstly it is very important for your little one to understand the language than actually speaking the same. From there, he will learn words rapidly. 

 

 

Your baby’s first word will always be those that are important to them like “Mama” and “Dada”. You would notice your little one will now make attempts to communicate with you by mixing jargon with real words. By now, he will also start to respond to his own name and also begin to respond to “No.” It is very essential to take cautions and avoid speaking or doing any bad thing in the presence of your baby.

 

 

Read books and you should elaborate stories to your baby pointing out characters, animals, etc. from the book. Make up your own stories to fit the pictures. Ask your baby questions about the pictures. Always speak to your baby in clear words instead of that, they, it, me, etc., rather you should use proper words like ''Mama or Papa, take the bottle, pass the ball,'' etc. By doing this, your child will likely begin sounding out words on his own.
