This point is a crucial stage in a child’s development. This is the time when they have their first brush with writing, letters and numbers. So, what can you do to help them nurture their skills and develop appropriately?
What you need to do
Well, you can play a few games with them. Pre-school and kindergarteners love playing different games and can be taught a variety of things through simple educational games. And, you can design these games in your own home. For instance, you can play clothesline letters, where letters and words are arranged on a string or print out large letters with decorated pictures of objects, such as apples for ‘A’ or dragon and dog for ‘D’. Then, ask the child to tell you the names of these animals or objects and help them associate it with the letters.
What you need to know
If you want to make learning more fun, try baking alphabet cookies, giving children a cookie with icing or sprinkles that reveal an alphabet. Similarly, for colors, you can prepare bright flash cards with the colors and their names on it. This will help your child remarkably.
