Valentine hearts make such great decorative artefacts and brighten up the room! This activity is a great way of making them, you can customize them the way your child wants! From glitters to paint and buttons to stickers. There is no end! Try this super fun activity and brighten up your child’s day by helping him with it. So, get ready for a fun-filled evening with your child while you are at it!

Requisites: A few heart-shaped balloons, art glue, acrylic paint- red (or colours preferred by your child), paintbrush, a few old newspapers, a pair of safety scissors, buttons, glitter, confetti, stickers, sticky tape, a piece of twine, a keychain ring
Steps:
1. Carefully, blow the heart-shaped balloon and secure it with a tight knot.
2. Using a pair of safety scissors, cut long strips of newspapers.
3. In a bowl, mix two parts of art glue with one part of water and remove any lumps with a paintbrush.
4. Now, carefully paste the newspaper strips on the balloon using the glue mixture using a paintbrush. Let it completely dry for about three hours.
5. After it dries, do another coat of newspaper strips using the glue mixture.
6. Let it dry completely for a day. Now, pop the balloon out with a safety pin and remove it from the casing.
7. Now is the fun part. Ask your child to pick the colour or colours he wants to paint the heart with. Let him paint the heart using a paintbrush. You can help him too. After it dries, decorate the heart with glitter, buttons, stickers and confetti, the way your child wants to.
8. Now, stick a piece of twine using sticky tape, onto the heart and paste a keychain ring to the other end of the twine. You can now hang the heart on a nail and put it on display!
This activity helps your child become super creative and enjoy painting the heart with the colours of his choice. It also promotes eye-hand coordination as he decorates the heart.
