All About My Dream Vacation

Your child is a big kid now who can think deeply. To brush this ability further, you can guide him to think more and be more imaginative. This is also a great way of boosting his cognitive skills. Travelling brings in a whiff of excitement and enthusiasm in everyone. Ever wondered if you could make your child think where would he go if he could travel anywhere he wanted?

Requisites: Shoebox with lid, craft paint and paintbrush, scissor, glue, small map pf the dream location, images of the location from magazines, books, brochures.

Steps:

1. Paint the shoebox with a dark colour.

2. Give your child scissors and ask him to cut out the images he wants for his box from the gathered materials. Have him place each image on the piece of cardboard and carefully cut along their outlines.

3. Glue the small map of the dream location on the lid of the box.

4. Help him cut images to fit inside of the map or trim the edges of the images to fit the edges of the map border.

5. When the map image is filled, outline it with a bright colour of paint such that it stands out. He can now decorate the rest of the box any way he'd like- glitter, more images, gems, markers etc. encourage him to get creative!

Finally, ask your child to collect information about this dream place - fun facts or images to keep inside the box.Your child develops research skills as he learns more about his dream place. this activity could be homework for your kid before planning a vacation.
