Bear hospital is a role-play game for your child. Your kid can play the game with her friends or you parent. She will however need your help to create the props. This activity will teach her to be empathetic and caring to others. It will also enhance her imaginative skills.

Contents

Requisites: Old sheeting, masking tape, band-aids, scissors

Steps:

1. Tear narrow strips of old sheeting and cut out triangular shapes to make bandages. Tape down the bandages and make a sling.

2. Using your child’s bear, dolls, and other stuffed toys as patient, let your child pretend that she is a doctor in a hospital or clinic where the toys must be treated and repaired.

3. You can tweak the game and make your child a nurse in a hospital or a caregiver taking care of her ‘patients’.

Role-play games are a great way to nurture your child’s imagination skills. It will also give your child experience of different real world situations that they are likely to encounter in life.
