You can introduce bugs, insects and learning about letter 'B' with this simple and fun activity. Above all, it adds to your child's fine motor skills.
Requisites: Tweezers, assortment of bottle tops and bugs (insect) counters.
Steps:
1. Arrange the bottle tops in such a way that the bugs can be put inside them.
2. Using the tweezers, your child picks up the bug and places inside each bottle top.
3. There are many variations you can have in the same activity. One can be sorting and matching the bugs to the same colour bottle tops. Next, can be counting how many bugs have been placed inside the bottle tops.
4. You can also get some hard bound books on bugs and insects and show to your child.
Through this activity, your child is getting his pincer grasp finer and also is learning names of bugs and colours. He is learning how to sort and match the bugs to the same colour bottle tops, thereby developing problem solving skills.
