Use of capital letters is important in our life and for a child it takes years to recognize and learn them. So why not start with this simple bed time activity that will train your child for better recognition of capital letters. When you are reading to her before bedtime you could try this activity.

Steps:
1. Take any of your child's book during bedtime and start reading for her. You will be amazed to see your child joining in.

2. Now ask her to read. When she finds a capital letter for a name of a character, town, city, days of the week, etc. tell her why they start with capital letters. Apart from this you must also tell her that every letter at the beginning of a sentence also starts with a capital letter.

3. You will notice that your child is highlighting the capital letters and enjoying this activity. Don’t forget to ask her to use capital letters in the beginning of her name too.

This activity will help her learn basic rules in English by default. If taught at a tender age, there are very less chances of mistakes in future. Start the activity tonight.
