Requisites: Chalks (white), Chalks ( colored), Sunshine

Steps:

1. Go to outdoor may be lawn or courtyard or footpath and look for an even and clean surface.

2. Stand still at one place and tell your kid to draw your shadow figure by chalk.

3. Do some hand movements to mimic the shapes of trees, animals, etc.

4. Now tell your kiddo to stand still and you draw her shadow.

5. Tell her to do some hand and body movements to imagine and make shapes of her choice.

6. Fill both of your and your kid’s shadow figures with colored chalk using various pattern like lines, blocks, dots, etc.

By this activity, your kid will be able to increase her imaginative skills, ability to express and finger grasping by holding chalks and drawing big figures.
