Devise Standing Christmas Stars With 3-D Effect

Your little one is totally ready for more creative stuff and this point and will enjoy making this 3-D standing Christmas star with you. Though this project looks simple, the end result is beautiful. The Christmas star serves double way. You can either place it on your table or hang it on your Christmas tree for others to admire!

Requisites: Plain paper, stiff paper or craft board, glittering Christmas wrapping paper, scissors or craft knife, glue, pencil, Christmas star template, glitter pens, tinsel, family photos, pretty craft scraps.

Steps:

1. Draw a star on the plain paper and cut it for your star template. (Note: a 5-point star works best for this project).

2. Trace around your star template with a pencil onto a piece of craft board, to create two identical stars. Then cut out your stars.

3. With the paper star template, create four more identical stars with glittering Christmas wrapping paper.

4. Glue your four Christmas wrapping paper stars on to your two craft board stars on either side.

5. When the glue dries in one star, start the slit from an inner corner and go to the centre point of the star.

6. In the other star, start your slit from an outer point, and cut to the centre point of the star.

7. You have to slip the two stars together through the slits you just cut.

8. 3D standing Christmas stars are ready to adorn your table or the Christmas tree.

9. Be creative to decorate the stars with glitter pens/tinsel/family photos or pretty craft scraps

Your angel will learn to be creative while decorating the stars with glitter pens, tinsel, family photos, pretty craft scraps and will be ecstatic to see the end results of the beautiful glittering stars. She will be simply amazed at the sight of the standing stars and will love to use them as decorative pieces at home during celebrations.
