This is a very useful activity which would offer vision to your kid. Plants occupy a major share of the earth. Your kid should be given precise knowledge about them. You can offer a smart demonstration to make your child understand that plants do breathe.

Requisites: A plastic bag, tape and a sapling.

Steps:

1. You need to select a sapling without breaking it from the soil.

2. Take a plastic bag and cover the sapling to make it air tight.

3. Use tape to cover the whole setup.

4. Ask your child to observe the plant for a few days. The plant would deteriorate due to lack of air.

If your child has any doubt regarding this activity then sit with him and discuss.

This activity makes it evident that plants do require air for food consumption and existence. This knowledge would help your child in his future dealings.
