Requisites: Coloured craft paper or crayons for colouring, Printed or drawn shapes, Glue, Scissors, Printer (optional)

    Steps:

    1) Print or draw your shapes, using coloured paper. You can also use the white shapes for your child to colour in themselves.

    2) Colour the triangles green, the rectangles brown, the stars yellow, circles and diamonds red or you can ask your child to colour the shapes of his own choice. Cut out each coloured shape carefully.

    3) Glue the 4 triangles together, one on top of the other, to form the shape of a tree.To do this place the largest triangle at the bottom and the smallest at the top, overlapping the each triangle so that each one leaves an overhang at either side that is the spiky sides of your tree.

    4) Glue your brown rectangle to the bottom of your tree .Take it as the trunk of your tree.Decorate your tree with the other shapes, by gluing them in place like stars, circles and diamonds. Also allow your child to be as creative as they wish.

    5) If you wish to hang your Christmas tree, simply thread some string through the top-most point of your tree.

This craft activity will help your kiddo to learn shapes, sizes, colours and numbers. You can also play educational games with your child, by using these shapes. You can make him to learn the numbers by asking him to count how many shapes or colours he can find in the tree, and can also separate them into piles. Get him to count the sides of each shape. Also allow him to put the triangles in order from smallest to largest. Thus your child can learn a lot with this activity.
