How To Polish Shoes?

At this age, your child has developed most of his skills. Make sure your child is self-dependent in most of his activities. Make your kid learn how to polish his shoes.

Requisites: A pair of shoes, wet cloth, brush and polish.

Steps:

1. Let your child observe you while you polish your shoes. This would motivate him to try it.

2. Sit with your kid and show him how to wipe the shoe with a wet cloth and then apply polish. Show him how to use a brush and rub it all over to acquire a shining surface.

3. Let him practice this for few days until he learns the exact method. You have to boost his confidence by appreciating his work.

You can also offer a candy or a chocolate bar when he polishes his shoes without your help. Such habits are very important to learn about self-sufficiency. Your child would benefit from this activity.
