Let's Do Colors

At this stage, your little one is fascinated with colors. Coloring is a fun activity for almost all the kids of different ages. But what if you can draw in your own created pattern? With this cool activity your kiddo can not only create a unique pattern but can also color it with the colors of choice. This activity will not only help your little one to develop motor and creative skills but will also soothe your little one’s imagination.

Requisites: Paper, Lead pencil, Color pencils

Steps:

1. Take a plain page and help your little one place a pencil on it. Now let your child’s hand move freely across the page, just scribble on the page.

2. Don’t worry about the crossing lines and the cutting circles. Just take a beginning point and simply start your walk.

3. Then, have your little one color the each space, shape or division created on the paper.

4. You can try drawing circles, starting with a smaller circle in the middle and bigger ones on the edges. Then draw lines crossing to the center of these circles. Now color the each half of the circle with the different colors.

5. Or simply, draw wavy lines horizontally and then draw wavy lines vertically. Color the alternate squares and a bulging wrapped pattern will be there.

You can also try using the oil pastels to draw the original patterns and then use the pencil on the wet paint to draw a new pattern. This will result in an amazing colorful pattern drawing. Now you can frame it and hang it up on the wall or simply put it on the side table to show off your kiddo’s work.
