Has your child learnt about basic shapes? This is the age when kids are well aware of a square, circle, rectangle etc. You need to make your child grow in this field by offering him advance figures and patterns. This fun activity will help your child recognise shapes and patterns better.

Requisites: Paper, pencil.

Steps:

1. You can draw numerous polygons on a sheet of paper and ask your child to recognize which one looks similar. Let him create his own understanding.

2. You can also take the help of mirror replicas and see if your child is able to recognize. This is a good lesson to make your kid adapt to new shapes and figures.

3. If your little one has learnt this method then switch to the next level, which comprises several shapes in a single pattern. You need to be there to help him recognize similar patterns.

4. You can offer hints when your little one grows low on confidence. You can take the help of videos and charts to make your child learn about polygon figures. Make sure he is ready to learn something new.
