This is going to make use of your child’s active imagination. Your child will also feel very accomplished after he is through with the art project. This is easy and less time-consuming. Your child will have a lot of fun decorating the lamp to his liking.

Requisites: A medium-sized glass jar, a small LED light, small leaves of different shapes, pastel paint, oil paint -light blue, paintbrush, art glue- the invisible dry kind, iron box

Steps:

1. Ask your child to collect a few small leaves of different shapes. Dry them out by placing the leaves in between two newspapers and iron them.

2. Have your child paint the leaves using light pastel shades. Allow the leaves to dry completely.

3. Take a glass jar and wash it thoroughly and let it dry completely.

4. Using art glue stick the leaves from the inside of the glass jar using a paintbrush. After the art glue dries the colour will be seen through the glass jar.

5. Make sure the glass jar is covered with leaves at least by 75% leaving small gaps in between each leaf.

6. Now, have your child paint the entire glass jar using the light blue oil paint. Let the jar dry completely.

7. Place the LED light inside the glass jar and turn out the lights to see it in action.

Now, your child will not complain about sleeping in his room alone anymore. This activity will also help your child have fun with colours by improving his eye-hand coordination.
