Requisites: 2 different colors of yarn, 2 small beads or buttons, a piece of cardboard 50cm x 12 cm, scissors, glue.

    Steps:

    1. Fold the piece of cardboard in half. At the bottom of the cardboard in the open edge cut a notch of 2 cm. This will hold the strands of yarn in place while you wind them one by one.

    2. Now slip the two strands of yarn into the notch and start winding the strands around the cardboard lengthwise.

    3. As you get a nice thick bunch of yarn, stop and cut the yarn at the end.

    4. Now snip through one end of the loops so that the yarn can be released from the cardboard.

    5. Put all the strands of the yarn on the table and tie them together from the middle using a piece of yarn. Also, make a fold with the tied bit at the top.

    6. You will now have something that looks like a nice thick tassel.

    7. Now to form the head, tie it off from the top at about 4 cm.

    8. Separate some section to make the arms. Now separate out some legs by tying off a torso. Tie it all and then trim it as well.

    9. Glue on buttons or beads for the eyes.

The yarn doll is ready! Use a smaller section of wool to create some hair for the doll. You can also use googly eyes for it. You can make a garland of yarn dolls as well to decorate your kiddo's room.
