Requisites: A large mixing bowl or a pot, spoons and ladles, safety scissors, small soup bowls, glitter powder, stones, shells, and ingredients of your choice, flowers, food coloring and water.

Steps:

1. Set a table in the backyard.

2. Fill a large pot with water.

3. Add few drops of food coloring to it. This step is totally optional and you could skip it if you wish to. This would just make the soup more colorful.

4. Let your kid take over. From this step, it is totally about how your kid wants it to be.

5. Lay down the ingredients on the table in front of him.

6. Let him use his imagination and start adding the ingredients one by one.

7. He could also chop flowers using safety scissors under your inspection and add them as well.

8. To add a finishing touch, hand him over the glitter.

9. Let him stir and pour the soup into the bowls.

10. There you have a sparkly fairy soup and a happy kid. Ask your kid to also suggest other ingredients he wishes to add to the soup.

Let him explore the garden and pick other flowers and leaves that he might want in his soup. Activities like these have no right or wrong way of doing them. So you could flex and improvise the activity to suit your child.
