Let's Try Extra Curricular Activities!

Team AckoFeb 8, 2024

As your child is growing and maturing with age, there are several things that will hold his attention.  He has learnt a lot of adaptive ways which is a positive growth sign. This is the right time when you can slowly introduce your child to extra curricular activities. It will help him mentally and physically too.

    What you can do:

    1. Understand what your little one is interested in. At this point, your child should be able to give you some hint about his area of interest.

    2. If his area of interest is feasible, allow him to pursue his interest. For example: If your child is interested in sports or music, you can put him in a class that caters to small kids.

    3. Make sure you never force your child. Never push him to do something that you like. This will be a burden on your child and in all likelihood he will not take it up well.

    4. In everything he does, your support and encouragement will matter to him the most.

If you think your little one is unable to cop with the extra curricular activity, please stop immediately. There must not be any pressure to perform at this age.
