Let's Walk A Lot

When it comes to keeping your toddler entertained, there are a lot of interesting things you could do. But often even without any material props you can entertain your kid in so many ways. All it takes is to let your imagination run wild and think like your child. Here is one such activity that requires almost nothing but can keep your child busy for a long time. This activity will hone his physical development.

Requisites: Your toddler and you.

Steps:

1. The aim of the activity is to get active and get moving. It simply involves you and your toddler to move around as much as possible.

2. Device a plan to start with. Make a list of all sorts of fun ways to walk. This can include walking the usual way, walking with long strides, walking with close steps, brisk walking, and more.

3. To spice up the game a bit, you could add smaller obstacles and cross each of them.

4. Another interesting idea is to add lines, boundaries and squares. You can then walk from one square to another, walk and try to balance on a line, try walking within a boundary.

5. Another variation to try here is to walk barefoot and with shoes, and various types of footwear.

There is no right or wrong way to do this activity. It is all about your personal choice. Let your toddler direct you the way he wants it. You can play some music to make the game further interesting.
