At home, you can have an your indoor basket ball game ready in a jiffy. This activity will help your child and you to customise your own basketball game!

Requisites: Newspapers and waste paper bin.

Steps:

1. Using newspapers, make lots of balls by scrunching them up small. Let your child also make a ball on his own. Though it may not come perfect, appreciate his efforts. He is working on his hand movements.

2. Clear any nearby breakable objects before starting play.

3. Have a competition. Tell him, that you both will try and throw the ball the furthest.

4. After practising, you can add another variation and challenge to the same activity.

5. Place a wastepaper bin a metre away and see who can land a ball in it.

Having lots of fun and improving his hand-eye coordination are the benefits of doing this activity. Praise his efforts whether he is able or unable to shoot in the basket. This way you are working on building his self-esteem as well.
