Requisites: A small cardboard box for the head, a slightly bigger cardboard box for the body, colour paper- a few different colours, art glue, sticky tape, a tube made of cardboard, decorative items like confetti, glitters, buttons, badges, etc., acrylic paint, paintbrush, googly eyes, a black sketch pen or marker

    Steps:

    1. Carefully, cut out the bottom enclosure flaps from the small cardboard box. Also, cut out both the enclosure flaps from the bigger cardboard box, for the boxes to be hollow.

    2. Now, give the small cardboard to your child and have her paint it using the colour of her choice. Put it aside so that the box dries out completely.

    3. After the box dries completely, have her stick the googly eyes onto the box. Also, draw the mouth using a black sketch pen or a marker.

    4. Now, take the bigger cardboard box and have her paint it with the colour of her choice. After it dries out completely, stick the smaller cardboard box on top of the bigger cardboard box using art glue. Now, you have the basic body of the puppet.

    5. Using different colours of the colour paper, cut out four long rectangles for the hands and legs of the robot puppet. Now, stick them in places of the robot's hands and legs.

    6. Stick the cardboard tube to the top of the small cardboard box, driving it from the bottom of the bigger cardboard box. Hold the tube in place so it sticks perfectly onto the top enclosure flaps of the puppet’s head.

    7. Now, decorate the robot puppet using confetti, glitter, buttons and badges. This will make your robot puppet look super macho. Your own robot puppet is ready!

This activity is going to keep your child occupied for a long time! She will have so much fun making it, along with polishing her eye-hand coordination. This is sure to be a hit!
